A Tribute to My Transgender Family and Friends…

Good Evening Folks, Do me a favor…

RAISE YOUR HAND if you have ever made the statement, “God doesn’t make mistakes”! While that may or may not be true, No Body is perfect! Did you say it specifically when discussing a transgender person’s decision to present themselves how they See Their Own Truth? Yea, I am sure you probably did! So, if your God knew you before you were manifested, who are you to call Some Body else a ‘mistake’??

KEEP THOSE HANDS UP… Do you realize that we all have made ‘adjustments’ to ourselves at one time or another? And we did it so that we can feel/look/appear ‘normal’ again! However comma I am not talking to us ‘normal’ folks at the moment!

HANDS STILL UP?

Okay, now LOWER YOUR HAND if you have done any of the following:

• Worn braces as a youth/adult, to straighten your ‘crooked’ smile
• Pierced any part of your body (seen and unseen piercings) to accentuate/beautify that area
• Been fitted with corrective shoes/brackets to fix your uneven/distorted gait
• Wore make-up (male and female) to cover up blemishes or even out your skin tone
• Surgically removed/reshaped/restored an imperfection to decrease your personal insecurities about how folks perceive you
• Use corrective lenses to get back to 20/20 Vision

AnyBody’s HAND STILL UP? Yes? Well, lucky you!! You were ‘perfectly’ made.

Now, if you did have to lower your hand, is it safe to assume that God only made a few minor ‘errors’ when it came to creating you? And you did what you had to do to correct said errors. Right? Tell me this, what makes you any different than Any Body else who wants to make a ‘change’ to their own Body? Not a damn thing!!!

So what does it mean to have 2020 Vision? And how does that ‘look’ for individuals like YOU & ME? Does it mean that we have ‘perfect’ vision when we’re looking at a chart? Or is it that we see ‘perfection’ when we are looking at our Transgender Framily?

We should see the reflection of the GOD IN US when we look at our SELF in the mirror!!! If we don’t, why not? We have to come to the realization that is really is okay to make the needed ‘adjustments’ in order to be who we wish to See in the Mirror…

To me… THAT IS TRUE 20/20 VISION!!
